World Book Day

The Wizard of Oz

"I shall take the heart. For brains do not make one happy, and happiness is the best thing in the world."

After a tornado hurls through Kansas a girl named Dorothy and her dog Toto are swept away from their farm and wake up in the colourful and vibrant land of Oz. In order to find their way back home, they must embark on a journey to the Emerald City where the Wizard of Oz resides. On their way there they are joined by a Scarecrow who longs for a brain, a Tin Man who desires a heart and a Cowardly Lion who seeks courage. All four are hopeful that the 'Great Oz' will be able to fulfil their wishes. But will they be able to find their way home before the Wicked Witch finds them?

To celebrate World Book Day 2021 we are retelling this fabulous tale with songs, dancing, puppetry and audience participation. Book now to avoid disappointment.
